The EREA Trustees and Boards of each EREA governing body hold the safety and wellbeing of all children, young people and enrolled adults as the organisation\u2019s highest priority.<\/em><\/h2>\n

EREA has no tolerance for child abuse, and all allegations and safety concerns are responded to as a priority and consistent with our robust Safeguarding policies and procedures, and in compliance with the relevant jurisdictional obligations, the National Catholic Safeguarding Standards, and the public Apology to the victims\/survivors of abuse. Furthermore, EREA\u2019s policies and procedures have been developed with consideration of the findings Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse<\/a>. EREA is wholly committed to the National Principles for Child Safe Organisations.<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Each EREA governing body is responsible for Child Safety and Safeguarding:<\/strong><\/h3>\n

– EREA Colleges Ltd (Queensland, South Australia, Western Australia, Tasmania and ACT);<\/p>\n

– EREA Flexible Schools Ltd (Queensland, South Australia, NSW, Western Australia, Tasmania, Northern Territory and ACT);<\/p>\n

– EREA NSW Colleges Ltd;<\/p>\n

– EREA St Kevin\u2019s College Ltd and;<\/p>\n

– EREA Victorian Schools Ltd (Victorian Colleges and Flexible Schools) under the TEREA Board pending Change of Proprietorship<\/p>\n

The CEO and Child Safety staff of each governing body are accountable to their Board for:<\/strong><\/h3>\n

– compliance with all relevant state and territory legislation and regulations<\/p>\n

– accountability and governance structures that ensure children, young people and enrolled adults are safe and free from harm<\/p>\n

– culture and practices that proactively safeguard students.<\/p>\n

– If a child is in immediate danger, contact 000<\/strong> or your local Police<\/p>\n

– If you have concerns or information about the safety or wellbeing of a student in an EREA school or entity, please contact the Principal directly<\/p>\n

– If you or someone you know has been harmed or adversely affected by an EREA employee or volunteer, or if you need additional support with a school matter, please contact the relevant governing body representative from the following list:<\/p>\n
